Within the different rooms of this webcentre you have the opportunity of learning everything about ecoBUDGET , the environmental management system towards sustainability, developed by ICLEI for and with local authorities.
In some mouse-clicks you can learn about the methodology, download examples and manuals, visit project sites, get to know about current developments.
Moreover, the local authorities belonging to ecoBUDGET community, have the full access to all technical features. Several databases support the cities in selecting their resources, indicators and targets by making available a comprehensive collection of relevant materials for download. ecoBUDGET cities can use the webcentre to conceive their Master Budget in a pre-formatted table and to automatically calculate their Budget Balance. Other templates for monitoring, accounting and defining measures are included.
'Only resource efficient cities will ensure the livelihoods of their citizens. The challenges of Climate Change and the scarcity of natural resources such as water are becoming very relevant topics for the daily agenda of local governments around the globe. UCLG encourages its members to using tools and systems such as Environmental Budgeting and to gain support for its implementation world-wide'
